The products within our emulsifier group are surface active substances. In industry, several names are used to describe such substances - tenside, dispersing agents or emulsifiers depending upon the field of application. These substances are characterized by their strong counteractive influence on two adjoining phases. Thus, emulsifiers are able to prevent the phase separation (de-mixing) of a - under normal circumstances - not miscible liquid/liquid phase systems as for instance water and oil, by forming an emulsion. Other important phase systems are the liquid/solid system, which is present in the wetting processes of solids and in the formation of stable solid dispersions, and the liquid/gaseous phase system, which is of special relevance in the creation and destruction of foams.
Given the characteristics mentioned above, our products are used in the formulation of crop protection products, pigment dispersions, cleaning agents, silicone emulsions, metal working products, antifoaming agents, etc.. Additionally, they can be used for the production of polymers based on the emulsion polymerization technique.
