Synthesis Chemicals
The main property of the synthesis chemicals is their phosphorylating effect. For Phosphorous- (III) - compounds their action as a reducing agent is of major importance.
Basically the production of agrochemicals and flame retardants accounts for the major part of the synthesis chemicals consumption. Beyond that alkyl phosphites are used as intermediates in chemical reactions e.g. in creating C-C double bonds.
