Catalysts for Chemical Synthesis
Levagard® TEP-Z is used as a catalyst in the ketene synthesis in the production of acetic anhydride according to the Wacker procedure. Acetic anhydride serves as a raw material for the production of cellulose acetate („filter tow “) and as a stabilising agent for organic peroxides.
In the synthesis of water peroxide Disflamoll® TOF is used as a component in the solvent mixture for the oxygen transfer system anthrachinone/anthrahydrochinone.
Dibutylphosphoric acid (DBP) is used as a non volatile and highly soluble acid ester in organic media, for the production of antistatic agents (textile industry), as a release agent in PUR-applications and as a sour catalyst for chemical syntheses.
